Savage Arms 32714 110 UltraLite Pro Full Size 300 WSM 3+1 20″ Carbon Fiber Barrel, Savage Woodland Camo Accufit V2 Synthetic Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Savage Arms 110 Ultralite Pro is a bolt action rifle in .300 Winchester Short Magnum (WSM) with a 20" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

The .300 Winchester Short Magnum (WSM) is commonly chosen for elk, large game and long-range work. Significant energy at distance, and significant recoil with it.
