Savage Arms 33153 Axis 2 308 Win 4+1 20″ Matte Black Carbon Steel Threaded Barrel, Drilled & Tapped Receiver, Gray Fixed w/Pistol Grip Synthetic Stock, Left Hand

Description

The Savage Arms Axis 2 is a bolt action rifle in .308 / 7.62 NATO with a 20" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy.

The .308 is commonly chosen for hunting, target shooting and general use. Probably the most versatile centerfire cartridge available – ammunition is everywhere, and it handles most North American game.

The redesigned AXIS 2 offers hunters better out-of-the-box performance. With improved ergonomics, the AXIS 2 features user-adjustable AccuTrigger; thread-in headspacing; updated bolt handle with a sleek, ergonomic design delivers on functionality. This bolt handle will help to enhance user control and comfort during operation, especially in adverse conditions like rain or cold weather; stock w/pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells and detachable box magazine.
