SAVAGE AXIS 2 XP 350 LEGEND – 18″ THREADED W/3-9X40 BLK/GREY

Description

The Savage Axis 2 is a bolt action rifle in .350 Legend with an 18" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 4-round capacity.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

The .350 Legend is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.
