Savage Arms 33206 Axis 2 XP 30-06 Springfield 4+1 20″ Matte Black Carbon Steel Threaded Barrel & Drilled & Tapped Receiver, Gray Synthetic Fixed w/Pistol Grip Stock, 3-9x40mm Duplex Scope, Left Hand

Description

The Savage Arms Axis 2 is a bolt action rifle in .30-06 Springfield with a 20″ barrel, a 1:10 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge’s velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy.

The .30-06 Springfield is commonly chosen for a broad range of game from deer to elk. Over a century old and still one of the most flexible hunting cartridges made.
