The Savage Arms 110 Ultralite 6.5 is a bolt action in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 22" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes drilled & tapped, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

The 6.5mm Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.
