Description
The Savage Arms 110 Apex Hunter is a bolt action in .400 Legend with an 18" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with picatinny rail sights.
The .400 Legend is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.
This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.
The complete package is finally here. The Apex Hunter XP pairs a Model 110 rifle with a 3-9x40mm Vortex Crossfire II scope that comes mounted, bore-sighted and ready to hunt. The platform provides accuracy and adjustability like no other package rifle thanks to the Savage AccuTrigger, thread-in heasdpacing, floating bolt head and precision button-rifled barrel. Plus, its length-of-pull can be easily adjusted to fit any hunter for better comfort and consistency.
