The Savage 93 is a bolt action in .22 Magnum with a 21" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 5-round capacity plus one chambered.
This is a conventional rimfire barrel length. Rimfire powder is fully burnt well before the muzzle, so extra length adds sight radius and weight rather than velocity. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes optic ready, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.
The .22 Magnum is commonly chosen for small game and varmints. It bridges the gap between .22 LR and a centerfire varmint round.
