Description
The Savage Arms A22 Bl/Lam is a semi-auto in .22 Magnum with a 22" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 10-round capacity plus one chambered.
This is a conventional rimfire barrel length. Rimfire powder is fully burnt well before the muzzle, so extra length adds sight radius and weight rather than velocity. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.
The .22 Magnum is commonly chosen for small game and varmints. It bridges the gap between .22 LR and a centerfire varmint round.
