Description
The Savage Arms Mark I FVT is a bolt action rifle in .22 Short with a 21" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 1-round capacity.
This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with adjustable peep sights.
A bolt action locks the cartridge up rigidly and repeatably, which is what makes it the accurate choice for hunting and target work – there is no gas system or reciprocating carrier moving while the shot breaks.
Mark I rimfire rifles offer fun shooting coupled with safety for novices with this single-shot bolt action with one-round-at-a-time shooting. AccuTrigger is a standard feature offering a user-adjustable trigger pull, so there's no need for a gunsmith to modify it. AccuTrigger also provides a crisp, clean trigger pull, which enhances accuracy. The long-range heavy barrel, for precision, is made of blued, 21" carbon steel and is set in a black synthetic stock with cut checkering and swivel studs. Peep sights, featuring an aperture rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation, complete the package on this one-shot wonder.
