Description

The Springfield Armory MD-S is a semi-auto in .45 ACP with a 3.3" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 1-round capacity.

A barrel this short keeps the pistol easy to conceal and carry, at the cost of some velocity and a shorter sight radius. It comes with white 3-dot sights. The slide is cut for a red dot, so an optic mounts without machining. The optic and, on most models, a mounting plate are bought separately, and the plate has to match the footprint your optic uses.

The .45 ACP is commonly chosen for range use, competition and carry. A large, slow bullet with mild muzzle blast; magazines hold fewer rounds than a comparable 9mm.
