Description
The Spyderco Buttonup CF PS folding knife features a carbon fiber handle, black finish.
The combination edge gives you a plain section for controlled slicing and a serrated section for rope and webbing, at the cost of less of each than a dedicated edge would offer. Carbon fiber is the lightest of the common scale materials and very stiff.
A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.27" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm.
Designed by Eric Glesser, the ButtonUp is Spyderco's first-ever manual-opening button-lock folder. It combines a high-strength, ultra-convenient button-lock mechanism with ball bearing pivot washers to yield one of the smoothest and most fidget-friendly folder actions they have ever produced. Its modified clip point blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and boasts a full-flat grind for superior edge geometry and strength. To ensure convenient carry and keep the ButtonUp poised for quick access, it includes a reversible hourglass clip that provides a choice of left- or right-side tip-up carry. The clip anchors to a second set of microliners nested in the butt of the handle and straddles a lined lanyard tube that allows the easy attachment of fobs and lanyards.
