The Spyderco Military 2 features a 4" CPM S30V stainless blade, clip point, plain edge, textured G-10 handle, black finish.
The blade is CPM S30V SS, an American powder-metallurgy stainless that offers excellent edge retention and toughness, at the cost of more effort to resharpen. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate: light, dimensionally stable, and grippy even wet.
This is a larger folder aimed at outdoor and work use, where reach and cutting power matter more than minimising pocket bulk.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 4.0" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
Like its predecessor, the revered Military Model, the Military 2 was born and bred to serve. The improvements that define the second-generation of this design make it the perfect cutting tool for duty-bound applications. This version enhances it even further by cloaking the blade in a stealthy Diamond-Like Carbon coating that eliminates reflection in operational environments where light discipline is a priority. To complement the blade's DLC finish, the handle's stainless steel liners, pocket clip and hardware also feature matching black coatings.
