The Spyderco Atlantic Salt features a 3.69" H1 Steel blade, clip point, serrated edge, FRN handle, black finish.
The blade is H1 Steel, a nitrogen-based steel that is effectively rustproof, which makes it the standard choice for saltwater and dive use. A serrated edge bites into rope, webbing and fibrous material far better than a plain edge, and stays aggressive long after a plain edge has dulled. FRN keeps the weight and the price down while staying tough and textured in hand.
A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.69" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it.
