Description
The Spyderco Endura folder features a 3.75" VG-10 stainless blade, clip point, serrated edge, textured FRN handle, black finish.
The blade is VG-10 SS, a Japanese high-carbon stainless that takes a very fine edge, holds it well, and resists corrosion – a long-standing favourite for folding knives. A serrated edge bites into rope, webbing and fibrous material far better than a plain edge, and stays aggressive long after a plain edge has dulled. FRN keeps the weight and the price down while staying tough and textured in hand.
A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.75" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
Spyderco Endura Knives are favorite everyday carry and work knife for folks who are serving and saving professionals as well as many other hands-on professions. Last year they gave it a new flat grind and changed the blade steel to VG10. The scales are black FRN with a volcano grip texture and it has the standard David Boye locking lever dent. The black clip can be positioned for left/right tip up carry.
