The STEEL RIVER KNIVES Spartan features a 3.50" 440C stainless blade, plain edge, carbon fiber handle, black finish.

The blade is 440C SS, a classic American stainless that resists corrosion strongly and sharpens readily, with moderate edge retention. Carbon fiber is the lightest of the common scale materials and very stiff.

A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.

Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.5" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
