The Streamlight Strion Ds Hpl Flashlight is a 700-lumen flashlight.

This sits in the sweet spot for defensive use: enough output to dominate a room or a yard, without the wash-back that very high output causes in tight spaces. Lumens describe total output rather than reach; a light with fewer lumens but tighter focus can throw further.

It is rechargeable, which lowers running costs but means it needs charging on a schedule rather than being left in a drawer. Check the runtime at the output you will actually use; headline lumen figures are usually quoted on a setting the light cannot sustain. Lights ship directly to you with no FFL transfer.

The Strion DS HPL also offers three different user selectable through us of the Ten-Tap programming which allows the user to select one of three modes of operation: 1- high/medium/low with strobe, 2- high only without strobe, 3- high/medium/low without strobe.
