The Surgeon Rifles Scalpel 591R 308 is a bolt action in .308 / 7.62 NATO with a 20" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 5-round capacity.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.
