Description

The Smith & Wesson / S&W 1854 is a lever action in .45-70 GOVERNMENT with a 20" barrel, a 1:20 twist and 6-round capacity.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes with gold bead front/adj xs rear sights.
