Description
The Swamp Fox Swampfox Arrowhead SFP is a 1-8x riflescope with a 24mm objective. The reticle is in the second focal plane.
A range starting at 1x can be shot with both eyes open at close range, like a red dot, and zoomed to 8x when a target needs identifying or reaching. That versatility is why this class is common on general-purpose rifles.
Second focal plane: the reticle stays the same visual size at every magnification, which keeps it easy to see at low power. Its subtensions are only correct at one magnification, usually the maximum, so holds taken at another power have to be adjusted.
The 24mm objective sets how much light the scope can gather and how tall the rings need to be to clear the bell.
Eye relief is listed at 3.54'' – the distance the eye sits behind the ocular to see the full picture, which is what has to be respected when positioning the scope in the rings.
