Description
The TANDEM KROSS Cthulhu is a grip frame.
The grip frame is the lower half of a Ruger Mark IV – what your hand holds, carrying the trigger group, the magazine well and the safety. Swapping it changes the ergonomics and the material of the pistol without touching the barrelled action.
IT IS NOT THE SERIALIZED PART. On the Mark IV and 22/45 the receiver is the firearm, so a grip frame – which the distributors all list as a “lower” – ships straight to your door with no FFL transfer. That is what makes it one of the few substantial upgrades you can simply order and fit yourself.
Aluminium in place of the factory polymer is the usual reason to do it: more rigid, and far less bothered by heat, solvents and knocks. The Mark IV's one-button takedown means these frames accept virtually any factory or aftermarket Mark IV or 22/45 upper – so a 22/45-pattern frame will turn a Standard into a 22/45, provided the magazine base pads are swapped to match.
This is a part or accessory, not a firearm, and ships directly to your address.
