The Taylors and Company Taylor'S & Company 1873 is a lever action in .45 ACP with a 19" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 10-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with ladder rear | blade front sights.
The .45 ACP is commonly chosen for range use, competition and carry. A large, slow bullet with mild muzzle blast; magazines hold fewer rounds than a comparable 9mm.
