The Taylors and Company Taylor'S & Company 1873 is a single action in .44-40 Winchester with an 18" barrel, a 1:36 twist and 6-round capacity.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with a blade front sight and a notch rear sight.
