The Auto-Ordnance 1927A1 is a semi-auto in .45 ACP with an 18" barrel and 20-round capacity.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. It comes with adjustable sights.

The .45 ACP is commonly chosen for range use, competition and carry. A large, slow bullet with mild muzzle blast; magazines hold fewer rounds than a comparable 9mm.
