The Weatherby 307 Alpine Mdt is a bolt action in .308 / 7.62 NATO with a 16" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

A carbine-length barrel keeps the firearm maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
