Weatherby 3WR04223RR0T 307 Range SF 223 Rem 5+1 20″ Tungsten Cerakote Heavy Threaded Barrel, Tungsten Cerakote Drilled & Tapped Steel Receiver, Adj Cheek Piece & LOP Black Synthetic Stock

Description

The Weatherby 307 Range SF is a bolt action rifle in .223 REM/5.56 NATO with a 20" barrel, a 1:7.5 twist and 5-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.

The .223 REM is commonly chosen for varmints, predators and target work. Cheap, widely available and light on recoil, which makes it an easy cartridge to shoot well.

The Model 307 Range SF bolt action that was designed to have a tool-less disassembly which allows hunters and shooters to easily field strip their bolt if needed. The bolt is equipped with an M16 style extractor for positive extraction and reliable ejection. The Range SF comes standard with an externally adjustable TriggerTech Field trigger; Accubrake; Magpul removable magazine and is compatible with AICS magazines; lightweight vertical grip stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and adjustable length of pull; touch points are textured for a non slip grip and dual front swivel studs allow for multiple accessories.
