Description
The Weatherby 307 Adventure SD Full is a bolt action rifle in .270 Weatherby Magnum with a 26" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.
A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.
The .270 Weatherby Magnum is commonly chosen for deer, antelope and open-country hunting. A long-standing flat-shooting hunting cartridge.
The Adventure SD is built on Weatherbys newest bolt action rifle platform, the Model 307. Meant to complement the historic Mark V and Vanguard lineups, the Model 307 action is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action compatible with many aftermarket accessories. Model 307 is designed to accommodate the vast offerings of stocks, triggers, rails, mounts and magazines that exist in today's marketplace.
