Description
The Weatherby Mark V Live Wild is a bolt action rifle in .243 Winchester with a 22" barrel, a 1:7.5 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is faster than the usual twist for this cartridge, which suits the heavier, longer bullets distance shooters tend to favor. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.
The .243 Winchester is commonly chosen for deer and varmints. A common choice for younger or recoil-sensitive shooters that still handles deer-sized game.
The Live Wild edition rifle was designed in partnership with Remi Warren. Leaning on Remis years of hunting experience, we built a rifle that is perfect for a wide range of hunting adventures. With accuracy and dependability at the forefront, Remi wanted his special edition rifle to be built on the historic Mark V action. From there he wanted to load this rifle up with features including, an adjustable TriggerTech trigger, spiral fluted barrel and bolt, skeletonized bolt knob, radial Accubrake ST, and hand-painted stock. Starting at 5.6 lbs, the Live Wild rifle wont weigh you down while trekking deep into the backcountry.
