WEATHERBY VANGUARD OUTFITTER – 22-250 26″ W/MB BLK CERA/BRN

Description

The Weatherby Vanguard is a bolt action rifle in .22-250 Remington with a 24" barrel, a 1:14 twist and 5-round capacity.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.

The .22-250 Remington is commonly chosen for varmints and predators at long range. High velocity and a very flat trajectory for a .22 centerfire.
