The Weatherby Vanguard Sporter Full Size is a bolt action in 7mm-08 REMINGTON with a 22" barrel, a 1:9.5 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
The 7mm-08 REMINGTON is commonly chosen for deer-sized game. Mild recoil for its capability, which is why it is often recommended to new hunters.

The Weatherby Vanguard Sporter pays tribute to Weatherby's classic Walnut finish. The Vanguard Sporter includes an adjustable Match two-stage trigger; Walnut Monte Carlo stock; matte bead blasted blued finish and a 3-position safety.
