Winchester Repeating Arms 535700289 XPR 6.5 Creedmoor 3+1 22″ Blued Perma-Cote Steel Sporter & Receiver, Matte Black Fixed w/Checkering Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Winchester XPR is a bolt action in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 22" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes drilled & tapped, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

The 6.5mm Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.
