Winchester Repeating Arms 5357412002 XPR Hunter Strata Full Size 400 Legend 3+1 22″ Flat Dark Earth Perma-Cote Sporter Barrel, Drilled & Tapped Steel Receiver, TrueTimber Strata Fixed Synthetic Stock

Description

The Winchester XPR is a bolt action in .400 Legend with a 22" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.

The .400 Legend is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.
