Description
The Yankee Hill Machine Mini QD is a flash hider, threaded 1/2"-28 tpi.
A flash hider breaks up the burning gas leaving the muzzle so less of it forms a visible fireball. It is aimed at what the shooter sees at low light; it is not a recoil device and does not meaningfully reduce muzzle rise.
This device also serves as a quick-detach suppressor mount, so the can locks onto it rather than threading directly to the barrel.
This part is threaded 1/2"-28 tpi, which is not interchangeable with other pitches. Thread pitch has to match exactly – a near miss either will not start or will cross-thread, and a damaged barrel thread is a gunsmithing job.
A muzzle device fitted to bring a short barrel up to the legal 16 inches only counts if it is permanently attached – pinned and welded, or silver-soldered. Simply screwing one on does not change the barrel's measured length.
This is a part, not a regulated item. Mounts, pistons, caps and muzzle devices are not NFA-controlled and ship directly to your address – the suppressor itself is the registered item.
