Description

This is a thread protector from Yankee Hill Machine.

A thread protector covers the muzzle threads when nothing is fitted to them. Exposed threads get knocked, and a damaged thread will not take a suppressor or a muzzle device afterwards.

Thread pitch has to match: 1/2×28 is usual on 9mm and .223/5.56, 5/8×24 on most .30 calibre, and metric pitches such as M13.5×1 LH appear on European and some pistol barrels. Left-hand threads are not interchangeable with right-hand.
