The Horizon Firearms Vandal Carbon II is a bolt action in 7MM PRC with a 22" barrel and a 1:8 twist.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

The 7MM PRC is commonly chosen for open-country hunting at extended range. Flat trajectory and substantial energy, with recoil to match.
