The blade is CPM S35VN SS, a refined powder steel that keeps the edge retention of S30V while being meaningfully easier to sharpen. Stainless scales are durable and easy to clean, though heavier than polymer.
Around three inches is the everyday carry sweet spot – long enough for boxes, cord, food prep and general utility, short enough to disappear in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.1" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it.
