SAV B.MAG 17WSM 22″ 8RD BLK HVY BBL

Description

The Savage B.Mag is a bolt action in .17 WSM with a 22" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 8-round capacity.

This is a conventional rimfire barrel length. Rimfire powder is fully burnt well before the muzzle, so extra length adds sight radius and weight rather than velocity. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes integrated base, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

Bolt actions are commonly chosen for hunting and target shooting, where the simpler mechanism and rigid lockup are valued.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.

Designed specifically for the red-hot, flat-shooting 17 Win. Super Magnum cartridge, the B.MAG represents a whole new class of rimfire rifle. Thread-in barrel headspacing, rear-locking lugs and a cock-on-close bolt maximize accuracy at long ranges, while user-adjustable AccuTrigger(TM) technology allows crisp, customized trigger pulls.
