The Steyr Mannlicher Arms HS is a bolt action in .50 BMG with a 24" barrel, a 1:15 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes optic ready, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

The .50 BMG is commonly chosen for extreme long-range and recreational shooting. Rifle, ammunition and everything around it are expensive.
