Taurus TX 9 Compact 9mm Luger 15+1 4″ Black Barrel, Flat Dark Earth Alloy Steel Optic Ready/Serrated Slide, Flat Dark Earth Stainless Steel Frame w/Picatinny Rail, Interchangeable Backstrap Grip

Description

The Taurus TX9 is a semi-auto pistol in 9mm with a 4″ barrel and 15-round capacity.

A barrel this length favors concealment and carry – easier to hide and lighter to wear, in exchange for a shorter sight radius and more felt recoil than a longer barrel in the same chambering. It comes with adjustable sights. The slide is cut for a red dot, so an optic mounts without machining. The optic and, on most models, a mounting plate are bought separately, and the plate has to match the footprint your optic uses.

The 9mm is commonly chosen for range practice, competition and defense. The most widely available centerfire handgun round, which keeps practice affordable and ammunition easy to find.
