The Tikka T3X Lite is a bolt action in 7mm Remington Magnum with a 24.38" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 3-round capacity.
A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.
The 7mm Remington Magnum is commonly chosen for open-country hunting at extended range. Flat trajectory and substantial energy, with recoil to match.

The Tikka T3x Lite Veil Wideland is the perfect companion for southern forests and open plains. Cerakote coating on the barrel enhances weather durability. Muzzle brake is included for recoil reduction. The rifle's weight is optimized, thanks to its fluted bolt and barrel. The T3x has a new modular synthetic stock that has interchangeable pistol grips, making it possible to modify the angle of the grip. This allows for multiple shooting positions. Additional grips are sold separately. The T3x synthetic stock also has an additional attachment point which allows you to change the width of the stock's fore-end.
