The Winchester 1892 is a lever action in .44-40 Winchester with a 20" barrel, a 1:36 twist and 10-round capacity.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with adjustable sights.
